9.6. Security

OptiCore™ NMS maintains System Database security by user level

authorization procedures, user authentication procedures, and

password management. Users are assigned different query/setting

authority levels.

User Authorization

Level

System Administrator The System Administrator can create

User accounts, authorize User functions,

and execute setting functions such as the

addition, removal, querying and

modification of data.

Operator The Operator is allowed to query secure

User information, but will not have the

authority to modify User data. The

Operator may add, remove, query or

modify System settings, or Module

settings.

Viewer The Viewer may only query System data.

No modification of data is allowed.
