59 Chapter 4 Sharing Screens

Note: Group-user membership edits are also updated in the corresponding Sharing >

Users > Edit User screen.

4.7 Shares

Use this screen to create and manage shares. A share is a set of users/groups access

permissions mapped to a specific folder on a volume. It is equivalent to the Windows concept

of a shared folder, but is independent of the folder.

4.7.1 Share Icons

These are the share icons you will see in this screen.

4.7.2 Share Summary Screen

Click the Sharing link in the Navigation panel and then click the Shares link or the Shares

tab to access the Sharing > Shares screen. The default shares on the NSA are shown in the

following figure.
